Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with ScrapeSilo. Scraping is your responsibility — this policy sets the boundaries.

Last updated 9 June 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") applies to everyone who uses ScrapeSilo and is part of our Terms of Service. It exists because a scraping tool is only as lawful as the way it is used. We give you a fast, neutral pipe; deciding what is acceptable to send through it is your responsibility.

The core rule. Before you scrape any page, it is your responsibility to confirm that you are permitted to — under the target site's terms, applicable law, and the rights of anyone whose data appears on the page. We do not, and cannot, make that determination for you.

1. You are responsible for what you scrape

You decide the target URLs, the data to extract, and the purpose. You represent that for every request you send, you have a lawful basis to access the target and to collect and use the resulting data. This includes checking each target site's terms of use and robots directives, and respecting any technical or contractual restriction the site imposes. If a site prohibits automated access, it is on you to know that before you run the scrape.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Services to:

3. Don't abuse the platform

You also may not:

4. Proxies and geo-targeting

Where the Services route requests through proxies or geo-target a request to a particular country, you must use those features lawfully and in accordance with the target site's terms. Using a proxy or a country code to evade a block, ban, or geo-restriction you are bound to respect is a violation of this Policy.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access — with or without notice — to protect the Services, our customers, or third parties, as set out in the Terms. We may also preserve and disclose information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with the law or respond to a lawful request. Enforcement is at our discretion; not acting on one violation does not waive our right to act on another.

6. Reporting abuse

If you believe ScrapeSilo is being used in violation of this Policy — for example, to scrape your site abusively or to misuse personal data — report it to abuse@scrapesilo.com with enough detail for us to investigate. We take reports seriously and will respond as appropriate.
